Use the following steps to configure Outlook 2002 with an MSN POP3 account:

h. Click to check the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) checkbox.
7. Click More Settings.
8. On the Outgoing Server tab, click to select the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box.
9. Click to select Use same settings as my incoming mail server, and then click OK.
10. Click Next, and then click Finish.

Use the following steps to configure Outlook 2002 with an MSN Web-based:

• Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA): do not click to select this check box.
7. Click More Settings.
8. Configure the Connection tab, as needed.
9. Click OK.
10. Click Next, and then click Finish.

The steps will be similar with all programs like thunderbird endura and so on.
Also i think that HOTMAIL accounts will NOT work.
