Hi,
I was going to get a Intel Pentium 4 640 3.2Ghz Socket 775 800mhz 2mb Cache. Its going to cost me £132.21. What AMD chips are better for less? I will need to spend more on my M/B too, so i need cheap and Faster all round than the P4. |

its not faster, it has a slower clock speed, but it does perform much better at gaming then an intel dows. but if your looking at something that can do decoding/encoding or image/video editing, your not gonna get that speed from an AMD.

well i do use photoshop lots, and i edit videos, so id be better with the P4.
So really the P4 is an all round processor, and the AMD is good for games, but not much else. Ill just stick with the P4. |

Ok then, im getting the P4. My mind is made up! If i had the money i would get a dual core AMD 64, but since i dont have £410 (which i more than the computer is costing
) i think ill stick with pentium. |
