I have the Mx700 duo (both wireless) keyboard and mouse. i reciently took my computer to a friends house, and the mouse didnt work. when i got home neither the mouse nor keyboard worked. i got the mouse to work but he keboard will still not work(im typing this on my laptop). i would just reinstall the drivers exept i have a startup password on my computer(winXP)
i have tryed 3 differint keboards (two of wich are wired and use ps2 connections), and i can get any to work. if some has any idea pls let me know. i think if i can just get into my computer i can reinstall the drivers(if thats it) PS the other two keyboards were basic boards and should have been reconized by windows with out extra drivers (i think) |

Have you tried using safe mode with keyboard which uses a cable (PS/2 connection)? That might work...
![]() P.S. To get into safe mode, while the computer loads at the screen where it comes up with the BIOS version, and does a RAM Check etc, you need to tap F8 (on most PC's anyhow) but if it doesn't work look around the screen for a different key. |

i got in using the safe mode but neither one of the two keboards are working still. i went to control panel and went to keyboard properties and this is what it says:
under hardware tab: " Device properties Manufacturer: Logitech Location:plugged into keyboard port Device Status:Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code41) " i tryed to do do something as simple as type in windows explorer address bar and it wont even do that. but the ps2 keyboard did work in dos mode just not with in windows, im goin to try to get rid of the password and try to restart windows normally, thanks for the help so far Rambo |

I also have the MX700 duo.... did you press the connect button on the bottom of you keyboard and mouse??? Are the batteries in the keyboard ok???? Press all of the connect buttons a couple times (one on the charger for the mouse, one on the bottom of the mouse, and one on the bottom of the keyboard)
