PC being an ARSE!!!

i just came bac form my hol and switched on my PC and it wouldnt work saying something like cant find master drive. i then managed to get round that by entering boot disk and got it the windows start screen and it stayed on that and wouldnt move i left it on tht screen 4 5 hours and still did not move on. i ran a check disk and it is workin now.... so i didnt now what happened maybe you do?

my problem now is my USb 2.0 pci card it asks me to install it but when i do and u go and click the finish button is crashes, i also inserted the cd i got and installed it i then restarted my computer and it still comes up with new hardware found in the little bubble thing. does anyone have any ideas be4 i throw my pc out the window.

try putting the usb pci card in a different pci slot....probly won't work but try it just in case.

possibly the usb pci card is shot....also, try uninstalling everything....then installing the disk first before putting the usb into the pci slot. let the windows installer wizard ask you for the usb in the pci. worth a shot.

try it in a different PC also this would let you know if it is a component or computer problem
