Question Keyboard Confusion

Here's my question. When I start my computer, if i want to go into the bios (by pressing the delete key multiple times during the startup), i have to plug my otherkeyboard into the purple keyboard plug on the back of the tower, because the keyboard i normally use is connected to a usb port and wont work until windows has started. ive tried another usb keyboard and different usb ports, but no luck. anyone know how i can fix it?

You can only fix it by plugging in a PS/2 keyboard. The USB ports aren't powered on instantly.
