Kaspersky has a database of more than 150K whereas Norton's database of malware is almost half the size. Norton is a good product, but if I had to choose between the two of them I would use Kaspersky. You would have to go to their website to find out more info on licensing.
As for your log... Open HijackThis, run a scan and check the following items: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Daily Weather Forecast] C:\Program Files\Daily Weather Forecast\weather.exe O16 - DPF: {297DE2B6-509A-4B36-93C5-A65276606900} (RRAAINAX_02.RRAAINAX) - http://www.in.honda.com/rraaapps/rra...X/RraainAX.CAB Then goto the following folder and delete it: C:\Program Files\Daily Weather Forecast <--delete the whole folder Reboot normal, and you should be clean. Did you uninstall Kaspersky or Norton? After you do, reboot and try your IE. Tell me specifically what it does or doesn't do, (ie: opens but can't go to any websites, or gives an error, what does the error say...)
