Default Would you like a Computer Forum toolbar on your browser?

Wouldn’t be nice a toolbar that has a search box, some buttons (New Posts, User CP, etc.) and even notifies you when someone replied to a subscribed thread?

Default Any kind of bar...

I have phobia towards any kind of bar... even that Adobe Acrobat bar in MS Word gives me the freak.

WHY?

I dunno, seems like all bars do are to advertise a service/take advantage of your desktop/eliminate competition (especially those search engine bars)/ and/or to spy on your online activities.

Yes, Google, I'm sure your bar didn't make u the billionaire that you are now by not cutting out all other search engines.

As for easy access to a web page, I'm sure the favorites menu does nothin. It just sits there looking pretty.

I'm just kidding.

Thumbs up to cluttered desktop. Wait until Windows LongHorn comes out, you can even image the number of helper panes Microsoft will bundle with LongHorn IE.

I'd rather visit the site for everything. A toolbar is over-the-top IMO.

It woudnt be too hard to organise a toolbar, but the only toolbar I use is the google one. People generally have a distrust of toolbars, probably due to the number of crooked places that try and automatically install them on your browser.

I have nothing to hide except for my love for..... {fill in the blanks}
so if Ian ever decides to create one, you can be assured I'll have it there on my system

It seems that the toolbar-thing didn’t have much succes so far...
But my opinion is that it could be useful - I can no longer imagine browsing without the Google toolbar.

Me either I am always typing stuff in the search bar, though I use it mainly for the PageRank display.
My second choice of toolbar would have been the alexa toolbar so I could check the Traffic Rank for various sites.
I think google should introduce a traffic rank like alexa, that would be cool.

Cool no need for a toolbar

i don't use IE, and bars like google are working on IE only. other browsers i'm using are not supported, and still if i wanna use google it's in cache so it will load preety fast. in fact of knowing how google is working (payments etc.) it's not my leader

try vivsimo.com, or the old hotbot.com
first one works great and hit's and ranking's are not payed

i don't like toolbars... they just clutter my screen. if i need something, i just go to the respective site. afterall, that's what the favourites are for.
