Default worried... please help..

ok.. background..... basically my computer has ran flawless for the past year.. now just a few days ago i noticed what i think is a problem..

i turn off my computer like normal.. start>turn off computer>turn off...
well it logs out and then shuts down.. but heres the problem instead of turning off my lights will stay on and my fans will keep running unless i flip the switch on the power supply.. suggestions.. thanks
