Ge-off

hey guys i just built a new rig and was having a problem with my vid card making my comp crash after about 10-15 minutes ( 9800 pro ), i looked around online and found out you have to change your BIOS from AGP 8x to 4x. I did this and it fixed my problem immediately but the next day i got home and turned on my comp and the screen seemed to be darker then usual... i have a 19" viewable crt monitor that ive had for a few years and has always been very sharp and worked great and now it is looking very blah... its looking like the brightness is way down and teh contrast is way up, making it look greyish... ive played with my video card color stuff and no help, contrast and brightness on my monitor, again no help... what could be doing this? any help would be much appreciated! it sucks playing WoW and stuff and not being able to see everything, its making it reallly hard to read text
