Default Help a question that needs to be solved!

I hope you can help solve this simple equation:

There are 3 men in jail and did pretty good the sherif decided to ask them a skill testing quesion, " Which hat are you wearing when the other 2 people is wearing those hat? "

There are 3 people 1 is blind, 1 has 1 eye, and one has both eyes, they where blind folded before the hats where worn, the hats included 3 green hats and 2 white hats.

The 2 people who can see said it wasnt worth the trouble, and then the blind man said a hat, but which hat? he was absouloutly sure that it was that hat.

How did he know?

I don't think it's an equation, it seems more like a riddle. I believe that the blind man knew that he was wearing a green hat because the possiblity of having a green hat is more likely than having a white one.
This equation/ riddle is poorly constructed. The wording leaves the read confused. For example how can five hats be worn if only three participants.

it is a riddle the teacher gave us. The chief gave the 3 participants a game which their where 5 hats total and they dont know what hat they are wearing and from seeing the other 2 hats that the other 2 where wearing how could that blind man not see anything and still be 100% sure it is the hat he is wearing?

CORRECTED VERSION: I hope you can help solve this simple equation:

There are 3 prison inmates, to each a sherif decided to give a riddle, "Which hat are you wearing when the other 2 inmates are wearing the same hat? "

1 inmate is blind, 1 has 1 eye, and the last has both eyes. All of the inmates were blind-folded before the hats were put on. The hats included 3 green hats and 2 white hats.

The 2 inmates who can see said it wasn't worth the trouble, but then the blind man said a hat, but which hat? He was absouloutly sure that it was that hat.

How did he know?

either its a trick question because they cant all be wearing the same hat . or its green, because if theres 3 of them wearing the same colour hat, and theres only 2 white hats, it doesnt add up. so it must be green, because its the only colour where theres enough hats.
