Default Fonts for windows XP

Hi there,

I would like to know, for Windows XP home edition, any instructions as to how to change the system font into chinese font like Changjie to be used as the default font. Would the OS be able to detect the font after I restart the computer?

Well, the language setting have to set to "chinese(Taiwan)" under "advance tab" for those non unicode program if you want to set the font to chinese Traditional big5. If you want to use back chinese simplied font GB2312, you have to set to "chinese(PRC)" under "advance tab". After setting the language, it wont take effect unless you restart your computer again. Therefore it is a hard time if you want to use both types of font together. You need to restart the computer again to use either chinese big5 or chinese simplified.

If you want to have menus, message boxes, etc. displayed with another font then go in display properties / appearance / advanced, select the menu, etc. and change the font.
