printer problem

When i press print. A small box comes up in the corner saying. Print to file.Any body know what this means? The at the side is says. output file name.Am i supposed to type something into the box?

You have the little box on the main printer check. In the upper right hand corner of the main print window is a little boz which says print to file. uncheck that. Print to file allows you to make a file which can basically print without a ms word or notepad or anytext editing software being used on the computer. Uncheck the box and it will print like regular.

Hi please can you tell me how to get to this. as i have no idea If you have time could you write here so i can follow it threw. thanks maggs. I only know how turn a computer on and off.

I noticed on your box it has ready.mine says offline could this be why it wont work?
