Default Linux distro?

Which Linux distro would you reccommend to run a server on an old PIII with 256 RAM? How about Mandrake Linux?

EDIT: Sorry, just checked, Mandrake Linux is now Mandriva Linux.

damn small linux? 256MB of RAM and a slow computer might like that.

not really, most linux will run on that ok

most any of them will let you install an ftp server! ftp server is so common, especially in linux.
