What kind of temperatures are unsafe for an AMD 64 3800+?

i would say 70°c+

If this speed fan program is any good, than it looks like it is running 58c idle. Do you guys think thats alittle much?

yeah mine is a 3500 and it is running at 37c idleing

Oh never mind i messed up. I think my chipsets overheating, its whats running 57c idle. Does that sound hot for a chipset?

Is there a HSF on it? What motherboard do you have? The newer chipsets can get pretty hot without some cooling.
