Default Fully buffered ram

Does fully buffered ram work on regular pcs or does it only work on servers?

CPU: i7-950, MB: msi x58m, RAM: 9gb Kingston HyperX 1600mhz (6 sticks), GPU: MSI/EVGA gtx 480 1.5gb SLI, PSU: Antec EarthWatts 750w, CASE: CoolerMaster Elite 430, HDD: 320gb+160gb 7200rpm.


My Backup PC:
i5 750, gts 250 ECS 512mb, 250gb hdd, MSI 55-CD53 mobo, 500w hec 80+ rated psu, 4gb 1333mhz crucial ram (2 sticks).

You mean ECC ram? They won't work on regular motherboards, usually only on servers.

I mean FB-DIMM ram and not regular DIMM ram.

FB Dimms are meant for servers. your machine's memory controller needs to be compatible. also are notched differently so they physically wont fit.
