well,.. again, it depends on the architecture of the chip.
the venice core is a great overclocker, but its socket 939.
if you have a newcastle,.. you wont be able to get it up to 2,9GHz i think, just because the newcastle runs unstable then. the cooling wouldnt be a problem,.. just you pc would have random restarts, or wouldnt boot windows at all
