You might want to check your settings to see if it is set to disconnect when the mail is sent. I think some mail porviders can do that.

If it's Outlook 2003, you go to Tools ~> Options ~> Mail Setup and uncheck the box that says "Hang up when finished with a manual send/receive".
If it's Outlook Express, go to Tools ~> Options ~> Connection and uncheck "Hang up after sending and receiving". Other versions of Outlook are pretty much the same. |
