Ranking up in BF2

ok so ive had the game for like a week, and I have like 1000 points, but my frined said that in order to rank up to corporal, your kill to death ratio must be 1:1 or higher.

Is this true, because mine right now is like 4:1 (i dont suck(that much), im just medic, and ill revive and heal like 5 ppl, then get shot and die lol)

So does anyone know if you do need a certain ratio to rank up, or is it just based on your global score?

i dunno.. but im always driving my dune buggy between our tanks to repair them.. so i pretty much have the same problem

but, good to hear there are still some team players around.

I'm a medic too!!

But yes, your score in the BFHQ will tell you how close you are, but I believe it is just your total score of each game that keeps being added up, not your K/D ratio.

so K/D ratio has nothing to do with ranking up (other than the points that you get for killin someone)

its just based on global score

and btw, what rank are u ppl?

sweet...i was private first class till like 5 min ago where i busted through with a tank, killed 2 guys (really good for me) brought a guy back to life, and got a nueteralize and a capture point, before i was killed ......

now im lance corporal...

i think that you need 1100 to get it

K-D means nothing as far as rank. Points Points Points. I am about to make sargeant, and I've gotten most of my points as medic(K/D Ratio sux).
