Default Recording Edited Movie Maker projects. HELP !!!

I've just purchased Sonic my DVD in order that I can burn Movie maker projects/edits to DVD disc. The problem I am having is that when I make edits to my home movies the file format changes from Audio/Video files in MBs to MSWMM files KBs that will not record to disc. Is there a way to change formats in order that my edited projects can be burnt to disc.

I have no problems whatsoever with burning unedited home moves.

I've all the bells and whistles necessary on my brand new powerful PC to enable me to do this so why isnt it working ?

This has been frustrating me for a couple of months now so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It should reencode the video, but why don't you edit in Movie Maker and then burn with My DVD.
