Default building a pc from scratch

im building a pc from scratch here is some stuff i got lined up, will it all work together, also will the power supply be eneugh, or do i need more fans, and does prossesor come with heat sink.

1. the motherboard is [1] based on a via chipset... compared to the Intel chipsets, the via chipsets are no competition [2] socket478 has been discontinued
2. if you buy 2X512mb for memory you get to make use of a second memory channel your memory controller may support (called dual channel... see RAM 101).
3. for the record that DVD burner is ancient... their current revision is 110 now and dual layers started with 108 (maybe 107 but i dont remember, used all but the 107)
4. you may not even need a floppy so if you wont need it.. no need to spend the money
5. simple clean case. i like that. but the PSU doesnt have its specs listed. have a look at PSU 101 to see what to look for

Well according to your requirements you'll need a 3GHz+ CPU in there .. make sure its a NorthwoodC or a Prescott. You'll also need a videocard
