do you have problems with SP1? are you having security issues? if your computer is running fine then i wouldnt until you NEED to. i did and is a bit annoying. it slows your boot up about 5 secs, and has problems with certain software. i havent had software probs but it did slow the PC bootup. in most cases yes your sposed to get it...but i still have a few pc's on SP1...and there not dying yet. there more susceptable to security and viruses and stuff...so im going to update soon. SP1 is an abandoned ship lol.

SP1 rules man
(SP1a isnt so bad either). Myself, I didnt like a lot of the changes SP2 did to the kernal so i probably wont change anytime soon ... i will try out the slipstream on a separate computer tho and ill see if i can put up with the slipstream version ![]()

umm... i downloaded service pack 2 and it made my wireless router go cruddy... i disabled the firewall because my router's works just fine... i think microsoft wasted time making service pack 2... but that's just me

Service pack 2 is good.. i dont have to bother with updating anymore.. does so automatically for me.. and yeah some programs dont get to work which can be anoying. but its all good..
its safe to download.
