Arrow rss reader

Hello;
please be patient with me as I explain this. Because of a small business I am working for, I was told to ultimately secure a RSS reader for gathering updated new items(CNN.com, CBS.com, Reuthers,etc) and the thought from management was to display the latest items in a tickertape format across the screen such as they do on the television(CNN.COM). I found one that I liked and selected the "URL's" that I wanted to include in this process as It was suggested. However, what the application did was only flash a UPDATE message for any of the particular news links leaving me to click on the icon and then select the appropriate news item. This isn't exactly what I need. Is there such a option/rss brand that will allow me to do what I was asked to create (Tickertape format)?
Is using the "Windows" DESKTOP properties option for making the desktop like a web page and linking a URL newsite to the webpage any better? I tried this and it left me with a white square on my desktop which contained the HTML code inside of it. This didn't look like what I wanted either.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated Thank You Don Rago
