I assume you have more than one printer installed, and the default one is not the one you want. Go start>settings>control panels>printers and faxes... Make sure on the the one canon printer is in there. If there is only one delete it and reinstall it. YOU SHOULD ONLY HAVE ONE PRINTER ICON IN THERE. It makes it much easier.
RUN4IT give the guy a break.. He obviously speaks another language, and probably knows english a lot more well in depth than you do.

Umm, yeah. I got the same prob in my comp. I Can't get my All-in-one printer/scanner pheripheral or my Olympus digital camera working at all.
I have tried all of the USB ports and tried with 2 different cables. I think that something is messing my comp 'cause when I tested these pheripherals on my other comp they work just fine, but I would really like that, if they would work on this comp. This comp recognizes them, but windows says that it cant intall them even when I install the drivers.

My brain hurts from trying to read this guy's posts. I know he doesn't speak English as a primary language, but damn.

Install the drivers FIRST. In many instances, the drivers need to be installed first so they have the ability to remove the previous versions (or at least disable them) before the new ones are installed. Otherwise, the two driver sets fight with each other and neither will show up.
