Default Do you know what a banana plug is?

These little connectors are for simplifying your speaker wire connections. I started using them, and I find some of them dont quite fit snug into the speaker/reciever hole where you insert them. Anyon know how to resolve this issue? Its like the pins on the plug arent quite properly placed. I tried spreading them out with pliers, but one of the pins just broke and it donest seem to help.

Interesting.. I have never heard of a banana plug not fitting properly..

What speakers are you trying to connect the banana plugs to? ..If you are plugging them into the receiver, make sure you plug them where it says: speakers (8Ω)

Bannana plugs are made for screw type connectors not the kind of connectors you push down and stick your speaker wire in!

Yeah, got to love the banana concept. Anyway, I have Paradigm speakers (canadian brand) and an onkyo reciever. They both have the screw type connecteros on them cell4me mentioned. The thing is, the plugs fit in, but they just arent firm once inserted, they will slide right out. Some of them fit okay, but others dont.

DOES ANYBODY read the forum rules or use common sense before registering and then posting on this forum?

I spent over $100USD on gold plated Monster Banana Plugs a few years ago... I went for super high quality and probably wasted a few $$$ on them, but they seem to work great....
