Default User Ranks FAQ

User Ranks FAQ

Normal Ranks

There's been WAY too many posts inquiring as to the ranks and stuff in place here at CF (quite possibly because people arent aware of a SEARCH function but thats a whole different issue).

For the record, any changes to ranks, rank titles, blah blah etc will be posted here. And they will change to adapt to the dynamics of the forum and to adjust for forum size As they are as of right now the tiers are as follows:
  • New Member 0 posts+
  • Bronze Member 25 posts+
  • Silver Member 100 posts+
  • Gold Member 250 posts+
  • Platinum Member 500 posts+
  • Diamond Member 1,000 posts+
  • 2,000 posts +
  • 4,000 posts +
  • 6,000 posts +
  • 8,000 posts +
  • 10,000 posts +
You may notice some users with a second row of LEDs such as myself or other users with high postcounts such as these:
That second layer is activated so to speak once your postcount is greater than 2000. You may also note that the last few tiers do not have user titles ... why? Because I'm lazy and I've not assigned them yet: the good thing is that I dont have to yet as most users are not in range of reaching 4000+ posts any time soon Rest assured they will be assigned in due time.

Special Ranks

As a general rule, asking for a promotion, asking about ranks (thus meaning you didnt read this thread which you're supposed to) will probably disqualify you from certain ranks.

VIB
A designation for those few members who try so hard to get banned .. they get the rank of Very Irrevocably Banned assigned to them. To date there has only been one such user possessing the sheer immaturity (and hilarity at that) to get this rank.... a few have been close ... but not that close

VIP
VIP is a handpicked title for member's who have been around for a long time and have contributed to the community. Generally speaking only requiring a single well-placed nomination.

MOD
Classic forum moderator position. Applications are open however the following are a general requirement:
- 1000+ posts, significant portions of which are not one-liners but actually helpful posts
- Demonstrated expertise/understanding in areas relevant to the forum section selected
- Generally speaking, "not a moron" (follows/enforces rules, is helpful etc). A very big factor here is to demonstrate open-mindedness... for instance, fanboyism would be a bad thing to demonstrate.
- Requires Administrator approval
- If you think you're qualified, please send a private message to Ian... generally speaking you'll hear back from us within a week if you're accepted

ADMIN
Closed. Invite-only.
