Thanks for the compliment buddy!!! In all seriousness, SFR has a good point. Yes it is really nice to get to know people on a more rounded, whole scale dealing with more than their knowledge of computers but, and most of us are guilty as am I, we should be more active in what this forum was founded for. Bottom line is, if you post in off topic only, please, with all due respect, post elsewhere. We all need to collectivly do our part in order to keep the forum working. To everyone here.......WHATS UP!!!!!! (sorry, its been awhile since I posted).

I came to this forum to look for an answer to a problem, because it is well... a computer forum. I have to admit, I am curious about some of the things that are in off-topic, but I take them with a grain of salt. I know by the title that they are not computer related. Am I offended, no. Then again, I am ONLY a member of this forum and not a member of staff.
This brings me to your legit concern. You ARE a member of staff. You represent this site, and if I may say, you do it very well. What can be done about this? Censorship-no that would not be the answer. I do have a suggestion, but not sure if it is possible. How about an option to actually hide the off-topic forum, selectable from the user CP? I can not say that I have seen it in other forums, but I do know that there are staff forums that others can not read (I used to be a staff member at another forum).

I like the way you think Jay, I was a mod. on another forum and they had staff only forums, and I think the same should be used with an offtopic, have it an optional showing in the user CP. Also, It'd be cool if you can permenantly hide it from people who only post in here, boosting their count, not by helping people in the topics that really matter.

Once again we are getting away from the heart of the issue.
CF does NOT WANT TO CENSOR any member of the forum. No hiding of forums.... no pre-approval by mods... NONE OF THAT... the problem is that the rules which are IN PLACE and the common sense rules are not being followed by every member. It is common sense (or at least I hope it is) that on a computer forum where many of the members are under 14.. and even younger than that.. sex talk should not be going on. As I said already, I was a bit harsh on some of the off topic threads... but some of them are ridiculous and the majority of member who follow the rules should not be penalized because of the actions of a few. If everyone contributes THERE part and shows integrity and class everything will be fine. <== that is the real issue

I went to guru3d forums, and i really dont like it. sure they have alot of good information, but there is so much junk there and non-organized. thats why i like this forum much more then others, its clean, organized, and isnt full of junk (except the off-topic thread).

i think you need to calm down with posting so fast and posting so many times, take your time and spell things right and that they are meaningful. (not so much here, but other threads that you've posted in).
