need FREE internet filter/blocker

OK, my friend is having some problems with the guest account users accessing pornogrpphic sites and the like on the computer. because of this, hes getting all kinds of malware and annoynaces on ALL computer accounts.

I know how to clean this all up and get rid of any malicious malware, but i want to get hime a filter for the internet so whoever is on the computer (even him) can't access these sites. do you know of a good one?

i'm seeing all these great ones, specifically made to block pron and stuff...but they are ALL like $20+ or more. is there a free one anywhere?!?!?!?

hes got antivirus software, spybot, adaware, etc...but none of these block sites. i cant think of a firewall that will act as a filter either that's free...anyone know?

I need one of these too.. my dad puts all this crap on the computer from looking at porn sites.. Dirty old men...

just use the crappy one that comes with windows, that filters out nudity and sexual acts. It's in internet options.

Problem with that though is all you have to do is download a different browser and your back to surfin porn in no time

Yes, my friend uses Firefox mostly. So targeting specific browsers won't work, as they will jsut use the other browser. Anybody else?

i was looking for freeware, as neither i or the person i am helping has a credit card or even money to spend. but thanks for the suggestion.

have you tried looking on download.com or sourceforge.net? there is lots of free apps on them sites.
