Question Change xp back to Millenium

One of my kid's comps (500 mhz) is too slow with the XP I put on and even slower with the updates (v2 etc etc). I was thinking of going back to Millenium or Win 2000. What do people think and how do I change back? I've had a bash but doesn't seem easy.

yea....I have a 500 mhz K6 box that I used to run XP on without a hitch. You really need 512 mg ram at a bare minimum tho. You'd be surprised how much processor throughput is chewed up with the stupid paging file

Also fyi.....my laptop with winxp pro clocks itself down to 500 mhz most of the time and it runs like a champ. I started out with 256 mb of ram and upped it to a full gig. It runs blazing fast now. I personally think ram upgrades are more noticable in terms of speed, then processor upgrades

Windows ME sucks. I would rather put on Win 98 or Win 2000 if my computer wasnt compatible enough for XP. I think most people that have had experience with Win ME would agree too.

Window's 3.1 is actully quite good, connects to the internet, can look at webpages, e-mail word processing, basicly is can do everythign a new machine can, except play new games, and most viruses are compatible with it! I still run windows 3.1 on a machine with a AMD duron 1.2Ghz and 265SDRAM fast little bugger/
