would these speakers work with this soundcard

i am going to get these speakers and was wondering if i needed a new soundcard. the one i have is a soundblaster live 24 bit audio soundcard. would it be able to handle these speakers or should i get a new soundcard

They would work with the SB Live, but to get a $250 set of speakers and still have a 30 dollar soundcard seems odd to me...just seems like the soundcard is a really weak link in that sound system.

what soundcard would you recommmend i only want to spend about $80 including shipping for the soundcard
