if you don't have a raid controller you will want a RAID card because software raid isn't very good

Thanks!! was going for software raid yeah i could tell hardware would be better its more "permanent" Thanks okay so i would hook the two ide cables from the hd to that card and then run windows cd to set up a raid... Is that correct? and also i have a 150 gig hd right now dont ask me.. thats what it says it suppsoed to be 160 i think... Well i want that info to be transfered to my raid 0 hd's...

You'll want 2 same sized HDDs, and yes you have to connect them both to the controller card. It should come with a manual that will tell you how to set it up.
