Default Lagging Hd

okay so i got a crapy hd i belive. Well i get lagg on my comp everytime I go into a folder with like 90 gigs of video files mostly .avi and it laggs so bad everytime i do so and anywhere else espically the folder with 90 gigs sometimes its not bad though but it gets mad laggy sometimes. And when i do so i'm only using like 350ish to 450ish of my ram out of 512.. So is it my hd seeking times are mad sloW? I'm not too sure but im using most of my hd space like only 20 gigs left and the more gigs u use on your hd does that increase like seek times?

well yes, it takes a while to retrieve all 90 gbs of video so if u click on it, it will open. a full hd is going to lag a looooooot more than a bare one. U can defrag to cut down ur hd working time. try that as a quick fix. this will prob help u a lot. (btw....defragment is in the control panel, in case u didnt know where it is)
