Sound card buzzing

Hi,

I have just bought an external usb hard drive. I also have an external usb sound card.

When I plug the hard drive into my computer my speakers start a buzzing sound. However when I take either the sound card or the hard drive out from the usb sockets the buzzing stops.

Is there an easy way to prevent this as it is extremely annoying? Or is the only way to stop the buzzing to buy a PCMCIA usb hub (I have a laptop) so the hard drive and sound card are on different usb locations. (not on location 0)?
