Question Problem with the Vista Theme for XP

Hi,
I installed this theme for a while, then i decided to gtet rid of it as im selling my laptop. Anyway, i uninstalled it from the start menu, but when i restarted, it was back again. Also, whenever I start up now ill get a pop-up, but only the one.
So how can i make the normal XP Theme stick again?

was it a theme or something like a theme?

to change themes do as follows: start, control panel, appearance and themes, change the computer's theme, then change it to Windows XP

anyhow.. whats the problem? do you mean the whole theme? explorer skin, wallpaper, icons, start menu, gui,.. every single thing? or just the icons thats coming back when you restart.

and what is the pop up that comes up? any particular message?

first off, try going in windows display properties, setting the theme to classic, and then resetting it to windows xp. the unmodified one if you have modified it in the past.. then, go in depth of the message and what keeps coming back when you restart and post back
