hi, i'm a newbie in computers...i just got an old laptop (windows 95, 32MB of ram) and i would like to know how to make it connect to internet. in my house i have a desktop computer (windows xp, 160MB) connected to internet through cable modem. do i have to set up a network connection, and if i do, how?

Two routes:
1. Setup internet connection sharing via WindowsXP (and buy another network card) and set stuff up... pain in the ass 2. Buy a router and plug stuff in, a bit more expensive initially but a much better option in the end 3. Step by step guides: http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/
