HardDrive Speed

I have a WD 80GB Caviar drive, 7200RPM
and a Maxtor 40GB also 7200RPM

When I run a speed test, the 40GB is almost 2X as fast...and I'm trying to find out how to fix this.

They are both relatively "empty" the 40GB is using 10GB, and the 80GB is only using 8GB.

the 40GB is ~122MB/S Ultra DMA 6 - Ultra133
the 80GB is ~74MB/s Ultra DMA 5 - Ultra100

How can i get my 80GB to run on Ultra DMA6 as well? I know it supports it!!!! They are both on the same cable, but for some reason I can't run them both at the same speed of ATA133

is it my mobo?
