Default problem, possibly mobo

well, i restarted my computer today. nothing fancy, just restart the computer from windows, changed absolutely nothing. upon restart, it froze at the post screen. it will detect the cpu, then it does nothing from then on... i checked the capacitors on the board, all are ok... everything is fine hardware-wise as far as memory, cpu, hdd's, drives, etc. the only 2 things i can think of that might be causing this out-of-the-blue problem are possibly my psu or my keyboard port. my keyboards caps, number, and scroll lock lights dont flash at startup now, but im not sure if they ever did... how can i figure this problem out? it came from nowhere, as my computer was PERFECT before trying to simply restart it. i reset the cmos and same thing still happens.. ????

ps i do have an extra psu so i can switch that out but id like to figure out if the ports may be bad for my keyboard, as i have an extra keyboard but it failed to start up using it

also ill add that the award bios has the default setting of halting only on keyboard error... never experienced a halt so maybe this is what is happening
