notebook websites

I'm a college student now looking for a notebook computer. I am looking to spend around $700.00 on a system. Someone told me you can get a "white box" computer on the internet for cheap. So I wondering does anyone have a website they could share with me to help me out? I'm also looking for name brand parts not generic parts. To me the outside case could be a non name brand as long as the quality is high.

well, if you want a whitebox try www.ibuypower.com or www.cyberpowerinc.com, but Dell, HP, Compaq, and Acer have nice laptops that are pretty cheap if you want to check those out too.
