im not to sure but if verizon uses sim cards like tmobile, if they do then it wouldnt matter. but if they dont then i think it can be traced. i knot his b/c lets say you put a password on your cell and forget it, then they can get into it and unlock it.
also try askin verizon to send her an old phone thats free b/c i kno that tmobile does that. they give a free phone thats really old to use if something happens to your phone.
