Hello, i am currently running a "trial" of XP Home, and I got a copy of xp pro that i wanted to install, it says theres a newer version on my computer already, so my plan was to backup everything, reformat, and install the xp pro.... only thing is I accidentally deleted everything before i could abck it up. but i have most of it on another comptuer saved already. So now all I want to do is format my computer, seeing as I have lost everything already. but i can't find how i can go about doing this????
Any suggestions would be greatful Thanks |

1. put the new XP cd in the drive and restart.
2. Boot from the CD 3. tell it to install to the hard drive 4. Accept the warning messages and tell it to install anyway 5. You'll get to the partitioning screen. delete all the partitions 6. Create new partitions (i suggest making 2. One for documents and one for the OS so you won't have that problem with losing data) 7. Tell windows to install to the first partition 8. let it run
