Default AMD Turion Any Good?

I really haven't heard much on the Turion for laptops. I have been looking at some online and I want to know if they are any good, and how they compare to a regular Athlon 64 in a laptop. Oh ya, and I would want to use it for CAD, Photoshop, and gaming. Thanx.

AMD Turion 64 mobile technology is uniquely optimized to deliver AMD64 performance in thinner and lighter notebook PCs with longer battery life, enhanced security, and compatibility with the latest wireless and graphics technologies- today and tomorrow.

Nobody ever let Geoff be a moderator, he is just fooling around with my thread. He posts, then waits for my reply, then I reply, then deletes his post and makes it look like I am talking to myself.
