Arrow My first time building a gaming pc...

Hey all, I'm looking to build a gaming pc for about $800. I've never built one before, so I'm looking for some input on it. There are probably some parts that aren't compatable with the rest of it, so I'd just like some feedback on it.

Here's what came up with...

I would be buying the case/fans from newegg: Case, Fans

Input would be appreciated.

ok, good processor, with your budget i'd go with a 3000+, but if you can squeeze it in its a good deal.
the motherboard has a bad chipset, you can get better ones for a bit cheaper. yes cheaper.
Ram is fine, might want to go with 2 512mb sticks as its a bit cheaper.
Is that big of a harddrive necessary? also make sure if you get a harddrive 200gb or more then make sure u get 16mb cache!
gpu is good, but if you went cheaper in other places you can get quite a bit better.
keyboard is just personal opinion
i prefure NEC drives, particularly the 3500 series which are the same price range and better imo.

BTW check out the $800 i have picked out for gaming:

Yeah the HDD is much bigger than I need, and I was looking on getting a smaller one. I'll look into upgrading the CPU too, thanks!

no, u don't need to upgrade the cpu, i'd possibly downgrade it to a 3000+ if you need to spend some money other places. the GPU (graphics processing unit) might need to be better if you are using this for gaming above all else. like mine is where it has an X850PRO and i have a GPU cooler included so it can be oc'd (overclocked) better.

Here's my new setup. I upgraded the videocard and switched a couple of things (some of the parts you suggested, etc).
