Default NO sound need new sound card

well since my onboard sound definitly doesnt work. and if u would still like to try and help me out with that, please do but i need a sound card. i dont have a sounbd card already so i am just using one to hold myself off until i get an expensive one. i dont want to spend anymore than 50 dollars. and it needs to be pci.

Better no Creative because are not good enought and a lot of users have problems with soundcars's irq. Creative's soundcard needs a lot of system's resources and have problems with sound playback. You must looking for M-audio cards, trust and the Number 1 Terratec.

Creative makes some of the best sounding sound cards. The only problems i;ve had with creative was getting drives to work on my soundblaster live!
