Question my friends constant crashing problem.

this is wat he says:

aight so i have a ATI Radeon 9600 Pro and for abour 3 years now my computer has been having these system crashes when i play game such as Half-Life 2, FarCry, and etc the high end games withing 30 minutes of play. IT CRASHES ONLY when the GAMES are RUNNING. When the computer is on idle or DLing it runs fine for hours.

his specs:
P4 2.5ghz
ASUS P4PE
512 DDR RAM
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro

his IDLE load cpu temp is 39'C(102'F)

-im thinkin it might be a PSU problem. i think he has a 400 watt. i dont kno the specs yet, ill post the specs of the psu later on... it could possibly be the vga card also, since the crashes only happen during rendering, like games or graphics.

has anyone ever had this problem or heard of it an knoe how to solve it? please help.

Yeah if his PSU isn't delivering enough power to his video card, then games will crash.

Tell him to get a new PSU with 28A+ on the 12V line and see if the problems persist.
