USB not working, please help

I recently decided to do a complete reinstall of both my computers, when I did that I added Firewire cards to both computers. Since then the USB ports (on the mother board) do not work (both computers). It seems the Firewire cards some how have superceded the USB ports.

Can anyone help with this?

Both systems are:
IBM
Windows 2000
Mother Board: Iwill

They were turned off in the BIOS system.
