i hope to cut together clips and lay sound into them in the background while keeping the original video sound aswell with the ability to fade both in and out

like say i have a clip of a guy on a 4wheeler about to try a stunt

at first f he is talking i would want to retain that part them after he is finishing up slowly fade in the sound to play while he is riding but not total overlaying hte original sound so that the viewer can still here that 4wheeler in the background

get my drift?
