I am not good on the specifics of cameras as such , but i purchased a digital camera of ebay last week for less than 5 English pounds including postage ,, it is rubbish for taking photos but it also acts as a webcam and works a treat

well if you get like a really high quality one you'd have trouble using it over the internet. I have this 1.3megapixel one and it works really well, i had DSL. I would recomend you get one with auto focus or a good manual focus cause my webcam is a pain in the ass to focus.
