Default any video to mpeg 4

does anyone know of some freeware that can take any type of like avi file or any type of video file and convert it into mpeg 4?

should be able to do it with virtualdub and divx

now when i convert it is it a relatively small file as well or does compressing need to be done later. or are all mpeg 4's generaly small files.

nero recode its what i use to convert movie files into .mp4 to play on my K750i

i will be putting video onto a friends ipod video. where can i get htat program cause i ahve nero enterprise edition, is it on there? can u give me link possibly? thanks for the help

well i heard that u need quicktime pro to convert a video to mpeg 4. can any one recommend quicktime pro or has anyone used it before?
