I just hooked up my stereo to my pc because it is a lot better, it is only going to the green hookup, not the yellow or black and I set the sound under control pannel to "desktop stereo speakers" and my speakers just dont sound right. There is not nearly as much base and this stereo is 240w and the old was 100w. I think it is just sending the front speaker sound through the green hookup and not the subwoofer signal. How can I fix this? PS: Magnets don't mess up lcd monitors, do they???

Yea run it from your headphone jack as suggested. Also yes Speakers can mess up a monitor if they are not shielded and placed too close. If that happens then hit the degauss option which will fix it most of the time.

Magnet can really f**k up lcd monitors. They don't get odd colors but there are really obvious dark/light patches.

O, that sux. Well, i know what the problem was. With surround sound I could adjust the sub level and I had it louder. I cant with stereo and my card doesnt support bass/trebble adjustments.
Its integrated. What can I do to give it more base?

On a stereo, speakers are magnetically shielded. Are your subwoofers also close (a few inches) from you LCD? Subwoofers are not normally magnet shielded unless they are part of a speaker. If the subwoofer is a different individual part of the setup, it probably isn't shielded.

The sub is in the speaker and the sub is on the outer side of the monitor. The reason i asked this is when i was selling my crt i put it up on my desk right by the sub and the left side was green... lol
So, can i adjust the base with a integraded card?
