New hardware found

Hello, sorry for my English, hope u understand me. Every time i turn my laptop on (XP home) there s a window asking to install new hardware (Printer). If i go on on the path for the drivers, and i try to install a printer i have, at the end they say the printer couldn't be installed because "the door selected isn't recognized".
What does it mean? The door i have is LPT1

Go to the manufacturers website and download the latest driver... That should work.. And your english is excellent.

Thanks for your help! But I don't think that is the problem. It happens with all the printers i select. the message is the same.... what could be happened with that door? I've also tried to uninstall it but nothing happened!

The LPT1 port could be bad, try useing a USB printer if you have one, thats all I could think of.
