Default Microsoft defrag

Hi there,

I would like to ask some questions about Microsoft defrag. I am using windows XP. Why does microsoft defrag cannot defrag some user files? why does the system get a bit slower after when I reboot the system after defragmentation?

Hope anyone who knows the answers can reply. Thanks!

Rgds

Because they are currently active

Probably because of dynamic pagefiles but really defragging isnt THAT helpful ... you're gonna be lookin at maybe 1-2% performance boost if even,
